Activity Groups
Perhaps the most important part of this club are the many activity groups. Some are waiting list only but are still listed in hopes you will either join the waiting list or perhaps start a duplicate group. NEW GROUPS are always welcome. To get more information, join a group, or start a new group, please send an e-mail to activities@hineighborkingwood.com

Euchre
Pronounced U-Kur. Euchre is the faster and wilder cousin of bridge. Both are trick-taking card games that involve bidding, trumping, and teams of two. Bridge is methodical, complex, mathematically precise. It is usually played in near silence, while players focus all their cognitive energies on accounting for all 52-cards in the deck. Euchre only uses 24. Because there are fewer things to keep track of, the game is simpler and easier to play.
Mahjong I - A Chinese game with an American twist. We play every Monday from 10 AM - 3 PM. Members bring a sack lunch with the hostess providing drinks, dessert and snacks. National Mahjong League rules are followed. $3 per player. We have openings for experienced players and are willing to teach new people another day of the week. Weekly participation is necessary. The evening group plays on Thursdays, but is open only to experienced players who can be put on the sub list as it is currently full.
SPORTS
Golf - This group meets every Monday morning throughout the year. We golf 9 holes at Atascocita Golf Course. Cost is $15 and includes a cart, or you can walk. We have golfers of all levels and new golfers are welcome to join us at any time. Your are not obligated to golf every week, we just ask that you let us know if you are coming so we can start together.
Tennis - This group meets on Thursday mornings at Deer Ridge Park courts. The time varies, depending on the weather. We send out an email each week & ask for you to respond whether you will be there or not. We try to have a foursome each week. All level of players are welcomed.
